A Tour of the Spiral

Take the tour and learn EVERYTHING about Wizard101!

The Worlds

Wizard City

Wizard City is at the centre of all things, sprouted up around Bartleby, the World Tree. Bartleby protects all worlds by eternally maintaining a connection to them along the Spiral. Wizard City is home to the esteemed faculty of the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts.

Grizzleheim & Wintertusk

Inspired by Norse mythology, Grizzleheim and Wintertusk are airy, outdoor landscapes of snowy mountains, glacial ridges and towering trees that are home to Bears, Wolves and Ravens.

Krokotopia

Krokotopia is an ancient land of forgotten treasures. Deserts surround the life-giving oasis in the shadow of towering pyramids. Krokotopia was once home to the Kroks, and it is rumoured the Kroks have re-awakened and enslaved the Manders.

Marleybone

Marleybone is the home of dogs, cats, and proper manners. The city has all the trappings of a modern society built upon scientific foundations. Big Ben, Scotland Yard, and the Royal Museum are some of the most famous sights in Marleybone.

MooShu

Moo Shu is a beautiful land with a rich, deep history. Full cherry trees, carefully maintained gardens, and tall mountains can be found everywhere. Although this is a place of knowledge and tradition, there is a great mystery here. It is the home of the honourable Samoorai as well as the evil Ninja Pigs.

Dragonspyre

Once an advanced militant society, Dragonspyre had an esteemed academy, rivalling the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts in Wizard City. Today Dragonspyre is a country of fire and lava, in which spirits haunt the abandoned ruins.

Celestia

Long ago, a war submerged the kingdom of Celestia in the waters of the sea, taking with it, the army that had attacked it. The knowledge about the phenomenal Astral magic was lost along with it too. In the meantime a strange new culture has developed in the ruins: the Crustacean Empire.

Wysteria

Once upon a time Wysteria was a small, sleepy trading post that held no great significance for the Spiral's fortunes. But then Pigswick Academy was founded, which has been regularly holding big tournaments there ever since. Students from all of the wizard schools face each other in hopes of gaining the sparkling Spiral Cup. However, the competition is not the only challenge...

Zafaria

Zafaria is an untamed wilderness crawling with rhinos, jackals and giant bugs. Somewhere between the jungle and the Savannah a group of Ravenwood students have disappeared. Are they in the gorillas' tree village or the stony city of elephants? Fight your way through Zafaria's unique landscapes and save its inhabitants from an old acquaintance's sinister plans.

Avalon

Avalon is a medieval world of knights, legends and ancient history. This lush place isn't only the home of badgers, foxes and fairies, but also of Merle Ambrose and his loyal owl Gamma, who left this world many a year ago. Now the evil Pendragon rules Avalon and threatens the good people, spreading fear and terror. Where are the Knights of the Silver Rose? And which stone contains the legendary Sword of Kings?

AZTECA

A new world based on the Aztec civilization.

Schools of Magic

Origin of Magic

Although magic existed before the written word, it derives from well-known sources. The magic of Fire, Ice, and Storm comes from ancient Titans that ruled the world in the Days Before. The magic of Myth, Life, and Death come from the power of the mind, body, and spirit of the Wizard casting them. The magic of Balance combines all of them.
Each school of magic is very different and has its own philosophy, rhythm and nature that combine with the elements of the universe. Click on each icon to learn more about each school.

Ice School

'... with Persistence, Victory is assured.'

The Ice School trains its student wizards to take high amounts of damage and still survive. Ice Wizards have the highest natural health points and defences which enable them to suffer al lot of damage without dying. It is very hard to defeat them. A lot of their functional spells have to do with increasing their defences and absorbing damage. They also have the ability to taunt enemies, which forces the enemy to focus attacks on them. This can come in handy when playing in a group.

Fire School

'If the Mind is like a candle, the Heart is like the sun.'

The Fire School trains its student wizards to do damage over time. Fire Wizards pile on spells that will continually do damage to the enemy. Initially these spells will not do much damage, but they eventually stack for possibly large amounts of damage over time. Fire Wizards also learn the ability to stun, which disables the enemy from acting for one turn. They can heal themselves enough to get by, but not substantially.

Storm School

'That which can be imagined, can be achieved.'

The Storm School trains its student wizards to do a lot of damage. Storm Wizards have the ability to unleash high amounts of damage from an early level, which is good, but they place too much emphasis on power, and therefore suffer in terms of accuracy. They also have the least amount of base health points of any of the schools. When enemies cast damage buffs on themselves or damage reducers on a friendly player, Storm Wizards can remove those spells.

Myth School

'To control the Future, one must look to the Past.'

The Myth School trains its student wizards to summon minions. Myth Wizards eventually get several different types of minions, each with a slightly different function. They have their own moderate damage spells with moderate accuracy, but a lot of their more functional spells deal with buffing, healing, and protecting their minions. They also have the ability of taking down other players' defences, so if someone is stacking a bunch of defensive spells, a Myth Wizard can get rid of them.

Life School

'As we have been created, so must we create.'

The Life School trains its student wizards to heal themselves and other players. Life Wizards are given the ability to heal themselves the most effectively, as well as the unique ability to heal other players. Combined with this, they do low to moderate damage attack spells with extremely high accuracy rates. They also possess the sole group heal spell.

Death School

'Timor mortis me conturbat.' (The Fear of Death Confounds Me)

The Death School will train its student wizards to steal and support themselves. Death Wizards belong to an advanced school, simply because most of their spells take multiple step combinations to use effectively.

Balance School

'Eye of Newt and Toe of Frog, Wool of Bat and Tongue of Dog.'

The Balance School trains its student wizards to be effective in group play. They have the ability to buff other players as well as themselves. While being quite useful in a group, they can play alone quite well too. They have a little bit of everything, which allows them to surpass most monster resistances, heal themselves a little and to buff players.

Theurges Tower - Thinking about it

Hi and it's Luke,so I was thinking about Membership and Crowns.
Membership has so many benefits, but I mean £6.19 monthly? I could buy myself 3 games for that!
Crowns cost WAY too much, I mean, 5,000 crowns for like £10.00? I think that may be a bit TOO much!
I've bought myself a membership though and due to some kind of activity I did , I got  a FREE pack of 2,000 crowns! :-) yay!
I hope KingsIsle will make them cheaper as when I'm older  I'll make a game costing 100 sapphires (that's crowns in my game) for 1p!

Hope you have a pleasant time

Theurges Tower - Spell after spell and a ringin' bell

Hey! Itza Luke and here are some spells and a poem I made!
To view it please go to theurges-tower.blogspot.com and select SASAARB from the archive.
To view the poem look below!

Sophia Emeraldblossom had the remnant,
of a very powerful pendant,
of the mighty maker she was a descendant,
a wizard she was transcendent.
She picked up the wand,
and with it had to magically bond,
her swift hair was blonde,
when she was trying out the wand,
down by the shallow pond.
